Kaamna is a visual artist and bookmaker currently based between Mumbai, India & Paris, France. Born in Mumbai, Kaamna studied English Literature in her home city before pursuing a career in photography. In 2010, she received a scholarship to study at Parsons Paris / Paris College of Art, for whom she is currently the ambassador in Asia.

In 2019, Kaamna launched her publishing imprint Editions JOJO dedicated to photobooks that celebrate playfulness, process, and experimentation . More recently, JOJO also manages a public photobook library in Mumbai.
