Responsibilities, REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

About the Role

As a Graphic Designer, you’ll be responsible for crafting visually captivating designs across various media platforms to engage our audience effectively. Your primary focus will be on creating compelling designs for all of the foundation’s projects and events, including our largest outreach-Serendipity Arts Festival 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce creative assets for digital, print, and out-of-home (OOH) advertising campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver visually stunning and impactful solutions
  • Ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines and communication standards across all design outputs

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects and motion design is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously

PROGRAMME MANAGER PERFORMING ARTS

Responsibilities

As part of the programming team of Serendipity Arts Foundation, the role requires you to:

  • Coordinate all arts-related programmes and projects for Serendipity Arts Foundation, including lead-up events, workshops, seminars, festival, etc.
  • Liaise with the curatorial team of the Foundation, specifically the curators, and facilitate the execution of their proposed projects.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the Foundation and the curator(s), for regular monitoring of their proposed project(s) – from conception to final realisation.
  • Manage all practical arrangements for your curator and project(s), including travel & accommodation arrangements, planning site-visits, and necessary meetings
  • Manage and coordinate paperwork related to contracts and payments, and other administrative work.
  • Liaise with the operations team within the Foundation for production-related work related to your project(s), including technical detailing, spatial visualisation, and coordination of all operational aspects of the project.
  • Work with the accounts team of the Foundation to plan and manage the Foundation’s budgets for your respective project(s).
  • Liaise with the marketing and fundraising departments of the Foundation to plan and prepare promotion and fundraising for your respective project(s) specifically, as well as the Festival as a whole.
  • Knowledge about performing arts production and technical is a plus.
  • Experience in artist management including but not limited to creative engagement.
  • Must be open to essaying multiple roles during the festival i.e. stage management, and show running.
  • Open to researching and setting up projects leading up to the festival.
  • Assist the content team with writing for social media and digital promotion.
  • Travel between Delhi, Goa and other parts of India to facilitate your project(s), when required. This includes being in Goa for at least 25 days in December during Serendipity Arts Festival.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5-year work experience in the arts preferable, but not compulsory.
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, specifically in English.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage crises.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Willing to work with flexible working hours as and when required.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with softwares such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, SketchUp would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of technical and production aspects of art-related project(s) would be an advantage.

  • Work closely with the programming team on visual arts/craft and other projects requiring specific layout and exhibition design to facilitate the execution of their proposed projects.  
  • Act as the main point of contact between the Foundation and the curator(s)/artists, for regular monitoring and updates related to their space design  
  • Liaise with the operations team within the Foundation for production-related work related to your project(s), including technical detailing, spatial visualisation, and coordination of all operational aspects of the project.

  • There is a learning curve on this job, and a keen interest in the arts in very important. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3-year work experience in exhibition spaces/design/architecture is preferable, but not compulsory.  
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and InDesign is required.  
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.  
  • Strong communication and writing skills, specifically in English.  
  • Ability to take initiative and manage crises.  
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.  
  • Willing to work with flexible working hours as and when required.

  • Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Coordinate all public relations activities
  • Direct social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis

Requirements and skills

  • Proven working experience in public relations required
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Event planning experience
