Serendipity Arts Residency 2026 Extended Programmes
The Serendipity Arts Residency 2026 extends beyond the Open Studio with a series of public programmes that invite audiences to engage with the artists’ evolving practices. Through storytelling, performance, sound, and participatory experiences, the programme creates opportunities for dialogue, reflection, and shared discovery.
Drawing from his ongoing research across Bengal, Nirmal presents an intimate monologue accompanied by photo and video projections. Bringing together field documentation, mythological narratives, manuscripts, oral histories, and personal observations, the presentation reflects on how stories shape memory, identity, and the social landscape. Rather than offering conclusions, it invites a small audience into the evolving process of research, questioning the ways inherited narratives continue to resonate in the present. Note: Please reach 15 minutes before the performance starts at the venue
The event returns to Trinjan as a practice of gathering around work that remains unfinished. What appears too large for one pair of hands is brought into the circle and attended to collectively.
The performance will be followed by a session with the Timekeepers, reflecting on heterogeneous ways of experiencing, organising and keeping time.
