Delhi based artist Vanshika Rathi studied at the London School of Economics, and graduated with a master’s degree in economics in 2014. Whilst at university, she was introduced to Kirigami, or the art of paper-cutting, and has since been pursuing this form of art as a self-taught artist. Her pieces are created by an organic process of sketching on large continuous sheets of paper, which are then cut with a knife. Inspired by everyday objects, travel and architecture, she loves adding whimsical, fairytale-like, and unexpected floral elements to her work.
