Position Summary
The Senior Executive / Executive – Space & Design, will play a critical role in conceptualizing, planning, and executing spatial, exhibition, and design solutions for the Foundation’s programs and festivals. The role requires a creative and detail-oriented professional capable of translating curatorial and artistic concepts into functional, visually compelling, and production-ready designs.
The incumbent will collaborate closely with internal programming teams, curators, artists, production partners, and fabrication agencies to ensure seamless execution of exhibitions, installations, performances, and festival environments while maintaining high standards of design, functionality, and audience experience.
Key Responsibilities
Exhibition & Spatial Design
- Support the Programming Team in conceptualizing and developing exhibition layouts, installations, performance environments, and experiential spaces across visual arts, crafts, culinary, and performing arts projects.
- Translate artistic and curatorial concepts into practical space planning solutions and production-ready design outputs.
- Develop exhibition layouts, floor plans, elevations, technical drawings, and installation plans as required.
Design Development & Technical Documentation
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings and technical documentation for fabrication, production, and installation teams.
- Create and maintain accurate 3D models, renders, and visualizations for exhibitions, installations, and set design projects.
- Ensure all design outputs align with project objectives, site specifications, safety requirements, and operational feasibility.
Artist & Curator Coordination
- Liaise with curators, artists, consultants, and project teams to understand creative requirements and technical specifications.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into indicative production drawings and execution plans.
- Facilitate design reviews and incorporate feedback to ensure successful project outcomes.
Festival Design & Wayfinding
- Contribute to the overall visual identity and spatial experience of festival venues and Foundation initiatives.
- Lead the planning and implementation of signage systems, wayfinding solutions, furniture layouts, venue décor, and audience engagement spaces while ensuring a cohesive and consistent design language across all festival venues, exhibitions, and Foundation-led projects.
Production & Execution Support
- Coordinate with production agencies, vendors, fabricators, and installation teams for timely execution of design plans.
- Conduct site visits and oversee installations to ensure adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
- Support material selection, budgeting inputs, and feasibility assessments for design and production requirements.
Project Coordination
- Maintain project documentation, design archives, and technical records.
- Monitor timelines and coordinate inter-departmental communication to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Provide design support for Foundation-led exhibitions, festivals, outreach initiatives, and special projects throughout the year.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Spatial Design
- Industrial Design
- Exhibition Design
- Interior Design
- Architecture (B.Arch)
- Or any equivalent relevant discipline
Preferred Experience
Executive 1-3 years of relevant experience in exhibition design, spatial design, interior design, architecture, museum projects, events, or cultural programming.
Senior Executive 3-5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated exposure to large-scale exhibitions, festivals, cultural events, public spaces, or experiential design projects.
Experience within the arts, culture, museum, festival, events, or creative industries will be an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of 3D modelling and visualization tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, Blender, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign (preferred)
Functional Skills
- Space planning and exhibition design.

Responsibilities
Community & Ecosystem Partnerships
• Develop, nurture, and sustain strategic relationships with internal teams, ecosystem enablers, cultural institutions, NGOs, government bodies, corporates, donors, and industry networks to expand the incubator’s footprint.
• Build a strong community of artists, crafts-based entrepreneurs, mentors, funders, and collaborators.
• Represent the incubator at ecosystem events, exhibitions, demo days, and sector forums.
Program Design & Execution
• Identify, onboard, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders and mentors to co-design and deliver structured incubation and acceleration programs.
• Ensure programs are aligned with the unique needs of art, craft, and creative enterprises, including market access, design innovation, branding, and sustainability.
• Coordinate workshops, mentorship sessions, peer-learning forums, and cohort-based activities.
Incubatee Support & Engagement
• Work closely with incubatee startups and creative entrepreneurs to understand their business, artistic, and operational needs.
• Facilitate access to mentorship, technical assistance, market linkages, funding opportunities, and capacity-building resources.
• Act as a primary point of contact for incubatees, ensuring a high-quality incubation experience.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)
• Conduct in-depth monitoring of program performance and incubatee progress.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights for continuous program improvement.
• Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and impact assessments for internal and external stakeholders.
Funding & Financial Sustainability
• Proactively map and track the funding landscape relevant to arts, crafts, culture, and impact entrepreneurship (grants, CSR, foundations, government schemes, impact investors).
• Design and support fundraising strategies to ensure long-term financial sustainability of the incubator and its graduated cohorts.
• Support incubatees in understanding and accessing appropriate funding mechanisms.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Design, Social Sciences, Management, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in incubation, acceleration, ecosystem development, or relevant program management.
• Proven experience working with funding or incubation of art & crafts–based, creative, or impact-focused startups.
• Strong understanding of the arts, crafts, cultural economy, and social impact entrepreneurship ecosystem.
• Experience engaging with donors, CSR teams, government bodies, and impact investors is highly desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in communication or visual design roles. Fresher’s candidates will
undergo 6 months internship prior to confirmation to a permanent role.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality design outputs across print, digital, and campaign formats,
supported by a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Sound understanding of typography, layout, colour theory, and visual hierarchy, with working knowledge of
both print production and digital design.
