Serendipity at G20

This terracotta handi is the handiwork of craftsman Bhuvnesh Prasad, renowned for making large terracotta vessels, vases, and pots. These beautifully symmetrical objects are fired in a wood-fired kiln on the premises, where either a pure firing maintains the redness of terracotta or a smoke firing renders a matte black finish. Bhuvnesh Prasad is also currently making a new range of decorative pots with a marbling effect, achieved on the wheel by applying water on the leather-hardened pot followed by the application of a lead-free, clear glaze before firing.
